What age group is the program for?

Currently ages 2-12.

Salamanders (Ages 2-5) → Warm and enriching toddler-safe play in enclosed and soft-ground areas. Still engaging in our outdoor and creative activities but at their own level of play and engagement.

Turtles (Ages 4–6) → Our youngest explorers. They’ll focus on nature play, discovery, and crafts that spark imagination.

Coyotes (Ages 7–9) → Adventurous and curious, this group will dive deeper into outdoor skills, teamwork, and creative building projects.

Hawks (Ages 10–12) → Leaders of the wild. They’ll take on advanced challenges, survival skills, and even guide the younger groups at times.

How many kids are in each group?

1:8 child to staff ratio. Up to 16 kids admitted in each age group. This balance provides both safety and freedom for kids to explore.

What happens with inclement weather?

We provide large tents for shelter and adjust activities to weather-appropriate crafts, games, and storytelling. We make sure the kids are always cooled off with water play and staying in the shade. On rainy days we set up tents and do indoor crafts, and have kids bring an extra set of clothing for outdoor play.

For extreme conditions or disasters (such as flooding or fires in Da Laveaga) we will give parents 24 Hour notice (whenever possible) to temporarily move to our Ocean View Park location and vice versa.
